We can be rigorous in our learning and seeking. Many in DBT are often desperate, panicked and frightened that my new behaviors need to be now or never. Indeed that may be true and we need to be kind toward ourselves while we learn, when we try something new, in the midst of forging a new and better way of seeing, knowing and living. I plead with you, be gentle with yourself. Say loving things to yourself. Be forgiving and graceful with your words. This is a journey for a lifetime. Don't kick yourself out of the program!
